Spring 2024
As we approach the end of the school year, please encourage your child to continue to bring his or her instrument to school on lesson days and to practice at home. We are now working on our songs for the end of year concerts at our nearby high schools. Any school instruments will need to be turned in to your school after these concerts or follow instructions from Mrs. Prior for turning them in. It has been a great year for student growth this year and I look forward to seeing students next year at their middle schools! Please check the tab with your child's school for concert information.
Fall 2023

Please check the links to your child's school for any information about lesson days and concerts. Please feel free to email me at the link above and watch any of the informational and performance videos on this page.

Fall 2022
Welcome to 5th Grade Orchestra! I am excited to begin teaching you about the stringed instruments! For specific information about your child's school, please click on the school name to the left of this message. Please feel free to contact me via email ([email protected]) or by calling your school and leaving me a message. I teach at ten different schools, so I will not be there to answer your call every day. You can use the links above to sign up for lessons or watch a video from Meredith Middle School about being in orchestra.
The links below show some videos of people playing orchestra instruments in some songs you might know as well as some music by past and present Black composers.
